The Church of Nigeria North America Mission (CONNAM) is the mission of the Church of Nigeria in the United States and Canada, aiming to support Nigerian Anglicans and others in their faith journey while upholding Anglican traditions. 

CONNAM is under the spiritual leadership of His Grace, the Most Rev. Dr. Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria, and is coordinated by His Lordship, The Rt Rev. Dr. Nathan Kanu. CONNAM is led by missionary bishops and canon missioners. His Lordship, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Augustine Unuigbe is the missionary bishop of North Atlantic Region Area 1 where Anglican Church of the Resurrection, Newark is under. Their collective leadership ensures that the mission aligns with the overarching vision and theological principles of the Church of Nigeria.

CONNAM is dedicated to evangelism, discipleship, and community service, striving to spread the Gospel and nurture the faith of its members. It provides a spiritual home for those seeking to maintain their Anglican heritage within the North American context. The mission is organized into various regions and areas, each serving as a beacon of faith and community engagement.

Our Rector, Venerable Chukwuma Izuehie, plays a pivotal role in this mission as part of the Prayer and Spirituality team of CONNAM. His leadership and commitment to the mission are instrumental in fostering spiritual growth and community outreach. Ven. Izuehie’s efforts help bridge cultural and geographical divides, ensuring that the Nigerian Anglican community in North America remains vibrant and connected.

CONNAM’s focus on maintaining strong liturgical practices and theological integrity, while adapting to the diverse cultural landscape of North America, underscores its commitment to being a dynamic and faithful presence in the region.
